We want to be the place where you kick off your boots and hang your hat, but there is also plenty southwestern Colorado has to offer its visitors. Whether you’re just passing through or spending an extended period of time RV camping in Colorado, there are certainly some sites and attractions that are well worth a visit. Here are some of our favorites:

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

Take a break from the drivers seat and enjoy being the passenger on Durango’s official train. You will experience unbelievable scenery, wildlife, and more on the various train rides offered. You can hop on one of the trains in downtown Durango, just 10 minutes from our RV resort.  – 15 Minutes/11 Miles from resort

Mesa Verde National Park

This is a not to miss sight if you’re in southwestern Colorado. Known for the well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings, in just under an hour, you can be touring the remains of this architectural marvel.  – 51 Minutes/46.8 Miles

Historic Downtown Durango

Stroll down Historic Main Avenue whre you’ll find unique restaurants, art galleries and boutique shops.  – 15 Minutes/11 Miles

 

Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa

Enjoy 32 natural hot spring mineral pools, swimming pool, 2 cold plunges and more.  – 26 Minutes/20.3 Miles

 

San Juan Scenic Byway

This all day adventure drive will take you through unique Southwestern towns with gorgeous views along the way including the breathtaking Million Dollar Highway.  – 7 hours/236 Miles

 

Pagosa Springs

While 60 miles may seem like a trek to visit another town, Pagosa Springs boasts incredible hot springs that are worth the visit. A relaxing dip in the hot springs may be just the luxury needed while you’re doing some RV camping in Colorado.

Aztec Ruins National Monument

For a quick sub-30 minute drive, you will be in New Mexico at the home of architecture by the Pueblo people from over 900 years ago.

Four Corners Monument

Just an hour and 45 minutes from our site stands the only point in the United States where four states meet in one point. The monument sits on Navajo native land and boasts a beautiful artisan market.

While these are some of the most well-known attractions in the region, you will also find no shortage of other activities from hiking, whitewater rafting on the Animas river, golfing, fishing, a lively dining scene downtown and more.
